Colour Belt Grading - 28th June 2008
The grading is this Saturday (28th June) at Scholes Village Hall starting at 8:30am. You will be able to get in from just after 8:00am, and I suggest that you get there early and certainly no later than 8:15am.
There is a map here and the postcode for Satnav is LS15 4DL
All grading fees and licence books must be handed in before the grading, and if you are taking your first grading please ensure you have filled in a green grading card and have given in two passport photos.
All the theory is in the student info section so there’s no excuse for not knowing your stuff!! See me or Miss Brown if you have any questions.
NB if you do not know your patterns, pre-arranged sparring, line work, or theory in the week before the grading, you will not be allowed to grade. You need to start practising and learning now!!

British Championships - October 2007
Well done to all the students from Leeds who competed at this year’s British Championships in Nottingham.
Jos Van Marken won Silver in the boys Black Belt sparring
Lesley Jackson won Bronze in the ladies team sparring
Stephen McAllister won Bronze in the mens Red Belt sparring
Eoin Byrne and David Murphy also competed but were unlucky this time - well done to you too and thanks for representing your club. The next national competition will be in the new year - keep an eye on the tagb website for further info.
World Championships DVD
The World Championships double DVD is now on sale - see your instructor for info and ordering. Look out for Mr Parr getting his silver!!!
World Championships Results
A massive congratulations goes to Andy Parr who came 2nd in the recent World Tae Kwon Do Championships in Birmingham, in the mens middle weight division. Mr Parr, who trains in Lawnswood, fought off competition from around the world for the silver medal, narrowly losing in the final to Warren Vice, 4 times previously world champion. Mr Parr’s final fight will hopefully be seen on the forthcoming double-DVD of the championships due out on September 1st.
Another big well done goes to the students from the Scholes class who also took part in the world championships - it’s great to see students representing our area, so well done to you.
